With kind support of Sri Krishna Chander, Principal K.V.Uppal No.1 and cooperation of State Jawahar Bal Bhavan, the Society
under leadership of Mr.N.Sri Raghunandan Kumarr, General Secretary, Planetary Society could make this event a great
success.
Student Members of State Jawahar Bal Bhavan representing their respective schools participated in the programme. These
students had life time opportunity to observe the Transit with their own eyes using the Telescopes. They were edutained in
the seminar where they came to know various interesting facts about Planet Venus through the lectures, animations, video clips
presented to them.
Most importantly they were spell bound by the live webcast from 15 observatories which was screened using L.C.D projector.
Teachers (participants of Teachers Orientation programme) representing various states also participated in the Venus Transit
2004. A Special Session regarding Societies Activities and future plans was held for them, along with introduction to Subject
of Astronomy and Astronomical Telescopes.
